• Austenitizing: Heated to 1050°C in a controlled atmosphere furnace
• Quenching: Rapid cooling to 200°C in a nitrogen gas bath
• Cryogenic: Deep freeze to -70°C for 12 hours
• Tempering: Triple tempering at 200°C to relieve stress
